ARC Flash - Covid Edition

Every Fall ARC invites anyone who enjoys climbing to test their mettle at the Annual ARC Flash bouldering competition. This year’s competition will be a little bit different! This year, ARC Flash will take place over the span of one week, giving people lots of time to come give the competition boulders a try! Climbers will have 3 hours to compete after their first check in during the competition week.

Participants aged 6-17 can compete in the ‘Junior’ category, and people 18+ have the choice between a “fun league” to climb recreationally or an ‘Experienced’ category to compete more intently, with opportunity to win prizes.

$30/participant (includes ARC Flash T-Shirt) free for spectators.

Competition results will be posted online and winners will be announced after the end of the competition week.

Competition Format

The competition will consist of 20+ boulder problems set in the bouldering area. Competitors will have 3 hours to complete as many of the problems as they can. Only the best five scores (or problems) will count to the competitor’s total score.

Climbers will have 3 hours from the first time they check in after the boulder reset. At the time of check in, climbers will receive their score sheet. After the 3 hours, they must hand in their score sheet to the person at the front desk.
