Competition Format

The competition will consist of approximately 25-30 boulder problems set throughout the gym. Competitors will have 3 hours to complete as many of the problems as they can. Only the best five scores (or problems) will count to the competitor’s total score.

Climbers will be allowed to walk around and view problems as soon as they are signed in after registration opens at 5 pm. No one will be allowed to touch any of the holds on any of the problems until the competition is officially underway.

Climbing will begin at 6pm after some introductions and announcements.

Registration & Fees

The entry fee for the competition is $50 per person, which includes competition swag for registrants. Register before Sept 1st to get the Early Bird Price!

When registering, please choose the category you would like to compete in. You may change your category at any time, up to and including during the competition.

Participants must check in at the desk between 5-6pm prior to the competition, and will receive their competition swag at that time. This year’s swag is custom ARC climbing brushes!

Competition Categories

Junior League

• Ages 6-17
• Climbing at all levels
• Further divisions may be made for age, depending on number of registrants

*Junior participants ages 16 and 17 also have the option to compete in the Experienced category instead. (Please select Experienced when registering online.)

Rec League

• Age 18+
• Recreational climbing
• For those generally climbing V0-V2

Experienced League

• Age 18+ (or optionally 16-17 yr olds wishing to compete at
  this level)
• Competitive climbing, with divisions for men and women
• For those generally climbing V3+
• Competition may include a finals round
